Daily Devotions - The Christian's Tool To A Profitable Spiritual Life
One of the greatest applications we can make from studying God's Word is a decision to set aside time each day for personal devotions. The purpose of this time is simply to quiet our hearts before the Lord and have fellowship with Him. Our daily devotions are not meant to be a time of in-depth Bible study. In fact, never plan to do in-depth Bible study during your quiet time. Instead, simply aim to simply draw closer to the Lord through meditation on His Word and communion with Him in prayer. We are going to focus on some of the essentials that go into planning a daily devotion time that will help us be more deliberate about enjoying Jesus' presence, every day.

Do you find that your daily devotions are a little mechanical? Why not break your normal routine and use these daily devotion notepads. These pads will help you slow down and really think through the Bible in an organized way. Studying the Bible is so much more profitable when we have a pen in our hand.
These daily devotion notepads have 20 sheets, enough for about a month of daily devotions. Each sheet will ask you questions to help you really make sure that you understand God's Word. It prevents you from rushing through your morning devotions.
A great feature of the daily devotion notepads are that after you've finished your devotion you can take it with you. This will help encourage spiritual conversation thoughout the day, and it will help remind you of your morning devotional time.
The daily devotion pads remind you to be applying the Scriptures and not reading them only (James 1:22). They also help remind you to pray throughout the day for your main prayer request. Daily devotions will be more thought out and organized using these notepads.

The Necessity of Daily Devotions
Our daily devotions should become as regular as our mealtimes. Be aware of allowing too many exceptions to occur, even those you feel will be "just this once." One reason why I'm stressing this so much is because whether you are involved in ministry, or desiring to be a witness for the Lord in the workplace or on campus, or raising young children in your home, wherever the Lord has you, you will never be able to take another person any farther spiritually than you have gone yourself. So a good question to ask is, "If everyone else had their devotional times like I do - how would they be doing spiritually?"
Wilbur Smith once said, "If the time has gone for our devotional reading on any one day before the chapter has yielded some truth for our souls, then we can give it further thought while riding down to work in your car or as you go about your normal activities…but do not let that particular passage in the Word remain for you a barren area: keep drilling through the soil and rock until you strike Living Water!" I will leave you with this final thought: Writer Izaak Walton said that Bible reading meant: "Every hour I read you, kills a sin, or lets a virtue in, to fight against it." So, take your time, enjoy God's presence, and plan to meet with Him every day. It doesn't get better than that!
